Recently on social media, MSI shared a clip highlighting a process called a “press check” to give our followers a bit of a behind-the-scenes look at how one of our regular communications products is made. In the video, our Associate Creative Director, Tara Storter, walks through the final and critical step of print production. Whether here in Anchorage with local printers or on-site in the lower 48, having an artist or director from MSI on hand, ensures the final quality that we are known for.
Producing and posting this video also serves as a reminder to our followers and would-be clients that we are indeed a full-service agency and that print media is still a valuable marketing tool. Specific to the video we made, the Anchorage Visitor and Restaurant Guides still provide a welcome and easy-to-use resource for folks visiting our city. Whether someone doesn’t want to get lost in search menus or just wants to conserve their phone battery, having a printed guide in-hand continues to be useful. And having such a guide shine with its quality only lends credibility to the collateral and gives people confidence in their next choice of where to go, what to do or where to dine.
If you are concerned that a digital component is still preferred in this day and age, don’t fret! Because we do it all, there is nothing we print that we can’t make a digital version of. With links or even QR codes, visitors can still gain access to all the information and advertising we make and see it in the highest resolution on each person’s preferred device. In the coming months, we plan on producing more content that gives people a better understanding of what goes into the products we create, so stay tuned. If there’s something in the line of communications that you are specifically curious about, reach out to us on social media and we might feature that concept in a future post.
