Job Title: Client Services Team Member
Reports To: Director of Client Services
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
FSLA Status: Exempt
A successful candidate will have strong marketing and public relations skills as well as knowledge of all forms of advertising media (print, broadcast, online, social and digital) strategy. Additionally, this person must possess strong writing, project management and customer service skills commensurate to the agency’s strong commitment to creating a positive employment environment and exceptional work product.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all strategic planning, marketing campaign development, budgeting, media strategy and coordination of communication strategies for a select group of clients.
- Knowledge of effective marketing and communication tools and ability to make recommendations regarding content and design.
- Must have working knowledge of social media tools and digital advertising strategies.
- Ability to direct the design and production of multi-media campaigns including print, web, television, radio and digital/social assets.
- Ability to develop measurable marketing campaign goals and seek new opportunities to build market share for clients.
- Must be able to accurately collect facts and write draft outlines of PR and advertising copy based on stated goals.
- Ability to draft and distribute press releases and handle follow-up with news media.
- Responsible for editing, proofing and fact checking all work.
Position Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Alaska’s resource industries including oil and gas, transportation, mining, tourism and Native corporations.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Experience in marketing, preferably in Alaska.
- Experience writing, editing, proofreading and managing communication projects.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, or business/marketing or relevant work experience in the industry.
- Transportation – Own vehicle required for work with proof of current insurance.
