MSI is looking to hire a Production / Traffic Manager to join our team! Our ideal candidate would have prior agency experience – but we’d love to hear from you if you’ve got the project-management and people skills to keep a bird’s-eye view on everything the agency is working on, from concept to production to delivery and tracking. Your position monitors our creative artists’ tasks and schedules while also coordinating with our client-services staff to ensure on-time completion and excellence in every aspect of every project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manages artists’ daily workloads, assigning/reassigning tasks based on availability to ensure deadlines are met. Regularly update account managers on project status.
- Ensures timely delivery of media deliverables and collateral projects by leveraging Workamajig and internal processes.
- Routes layouts, copy, proofs, and other project elements for approval and production.
- Prepares and submit preliminary internal and external print and production estimates for account managers’ review and approval.
- Negotiates pricing with production vendors.
- Conducts daily traffic meetings and prepare reports.
- Establishes strong working relationships with production and service vendors.
- Delivers training on MSI processes and more efficient production and workflow options.
- Reviews work for quality and accuracy, ensuring all deliverables meet requirements. This position is the final quality control element of the MSI Communications team.
- Utilizes traffic management software to track and manage workflow and ensure all projects are properly documented and archived for future reference.
- Provides administrative support for Creative Director and the entire creative team.
Position Requires:
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of all ongoing client projects, vendor deadlines, and client marketing objectives.
- Working knowledge of project management software, preferably Workamajig.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing several tasks at one time.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail.

- Ability to multi-task is critical, as this position is responsible for working with multiple customers and vendors daily, tracking all Creative Services task assignments as well as project deadlines.
- Ability to read, proof and interpret documents for content. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients and/or employees.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Proactive problem-solver.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is frequently required to sit at a work station for several hours at a time. Employee is required to lift up to thirty (30) pounds.
Occasional travel may be required as appropriate to the position.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Transportation – Your own vehicle is required for work, valid Alaska driver’s license and proof of current insurance.
- Professional work attire (casual business attire) required.
- All employees will establish a daily billing goal with agency president.
